Description
The C4ISR Systems Engineer will be directly involved with the continual evolution of superior technical solutions for Army Ground Vehicle C4ISR systems.
In this position, the Engineer will design, develop and document system/subsystem logical and physical architectures to provide cohesive integration of systems, to include power and data bus communication networks. This will include requirements development,
detailed design, implementation and testing of ground vehicle systems.
In addition, in-vehicle network architectures will incorporate Vehicular Integration for C4ISR/EW Interoperability (VICTORY) compliance for the components and their associated message protocols. This will include incorporation of Secure Information Assurance
in relation to data transmitted and accessible within the network and the related computer components.
Essential Job Functions:
Interface directly with Program Managers and developmental organizations to identify C4ISR and in-vehicle network architectures and requirements for Combat Vehicle Systems.
Provide expertise in performing C4ISR and In-Vehicle Network System Architecture, Requirements Analysis, Design, Implementation, Test and Installation pertaining to the integration of C4 subsystems onto combat vehicle systems.
Develop and/or provide inputs to project plans of execution to include scope, budget, resource needs, material needs, and schedule.
Prepare, provide inputs to, and review Ground Combat C4ISR architectures, requirements specifications, interface specifications, designs, and test plans.
Requirements
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.
Ability to obtain a Government security clearance.
Engineering Degree plus five (5) to eight (8) years of experience.
Experience with different Data Bus Architectures/Protocols such as CAN, Ethernet, TCP/IP, 1553, or Serial.
Experience with developing and integrating data networks that cross multiple layers of information security (Secure vs Non-Secure Networks).
Subsystem and System level integration and testing on vehicle electronics systems.
Experience in developing and executing System Level Plans.
Ability to travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (5% Travel).
Desired Skills:
Experience with developing and/or integrating Military C4ISR systems, ideally on Ground Combat Vehicle platforms.
Knowledge of the Army's VICTORY Architecture and Standards.
Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation methods (DIACAP, DoDI-8500.2, Information Assurance Implementation).
Experience with Cross Domain Solutions, Network Gateways, Routers, Switches, Hubs, Cabling.
Experience in developing and integrating Middle Ware, SOAP, Data Distribution, Operating Systems, Hardware I/O, and Low Level Device Programming.
Experience with military communications equipment for Ground Combat Vehicles.
Experience with Army Acquisition System.
Experience in Army Interoperability Certification (AIC).

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
