Global Business Services- SAP Request to Pay Business Analyst
GM is seeking outstanding individuals to join our Global Business Services team to drive the transformation of business processes through the implementation of Global SAP projects. The Global Business Services Organization was formed to Transform, Optimize and Sustain key GM business processes.
The Global SAP implementation is a key enabler for the end to end transformation of GMs Global Business processes, including across the global Request-to-Pay process environment. About the role:
This Analyst position will have responsibility for the following work scope activities:
Deployment
Work with and deploy leading Request to Pay technologies from SAP including ECC, SAP Sourcing and/or SRM
Responsible for deploying large scale global SAP systems and business process and associated implementations as well as smaller, faster innovative initiatives within the construct of the larger global business across the enterprise
Conduct user training and on site deployment routines
Verify and validate data migrations
Support change management to ensure end user understanding and acceptance of the business process changes that the Request to Pay deployments will require
Identify improvement opportunities to optimize GMs Request to Pay Process and enabling technologies end to end
Solution Enhancement
Develop business process solutions to existing and emerging opportunities
Partner with business counterparts in the Request Management, Sourcing, Contracting area to enable industry best practices and SAP best practices
Meet regularly with stakeholders to work on the improvement definition and creation of business cases to support changes
Create business requirements for solution enhancements across the Request to Pay SAP environment
Create context charts, process flow documents, business requirement documents, as needed
Participate in system enhancement projects to support the new business requirements including participating in technical reviews and leading User Acceptance Testing signoff to ensure solutions meet both functional and quality requirements.
Support creation and lead delivery of training materials as needed to foster a more effective use of SAP systems by the user community
Center of Excellence
Provide system support related to deployments
Provide level 2 support to users of the system
Be a mentor for Reporting and KPIs and metrics within assigned subject area
Perform problem root cause analysis to implement solutions that prevent problem reoccurrence
Interact weekly in sessions with Super Users/Local Process Owners reviewing status of all SAP business activities including on Projects, Enhancements, Incident tracking, etc. as well as major milestones and expected deliverables (i.e. template release testing, minor release activities)
Provide regular updates to leadership
Develop documentation to facilitate on-going support
Prepare reporting to communicate the status of issue resolution to Business Management and to identify trends for opportunities to improve the stability of the system
Qualifications
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, Information Technology
Business Experience in a Request to Pay function (Purchasing services)
Experience utilizing or deploying SAP ECC (MM)
Ability to coordinate tasks and priorities across multiple projects
Highly motivated with excellent team work skills and customer focus
Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in leading SAP projects for deployment (Blueprint through implementation)
Direct Purchasing, Logistic services procurement
Automotive experience
Experience utilizing or deploying SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), BI/BW/Web Intelligence and Sourcing Solutions, WM.
Business Process Optimization/Re-engineering Experience
Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills
