Director of Engineering REQUIRED: Planning, directing and coordinating the work of a team (including a team of engineers) to solve various complex quality and engineering tasks utilizing his extensive engineering background; Develop and implement APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) systems; Focusing efforts in accordance with cost, quality and quantity specifications all related to engineering; Overall responsibility for various engineering functions related to: management and development of existing and future automotive component programs for original equipment manufacturers related specifically to General Motors Corporation, Chrysler Group, LLC., Ford Motor Company, Honda Manufacturing of America, Toyota Motor Corporation and Nissan of America; Engineering, setting specifications and program procedures with respect to components, assembly and manufacturing sequences; Assess, supervise and direct the work of other engineers, engineering technicians and other technical workers; Apply the theories and concepts of engineering to perform the following functions: Sharing responsibilities with numerous managers, i.e. engineering managers, quality managers, material managers, accounting, etc. and a large staff estimated at over 40 individuals responsible for design, build and production; Strategic planning and new product development; Attending meetings with engineering staff and customers engineers; Assisting in engineering and designing automotive components from concept to production; Interfacing with account and platform managers as well as customers to determine product requirements; Establishing design parameters to ensure that product design is feasible for manufacturing; Providing direction to designers with consideration for fabrication, processing and assembly of the product; Implementing design through formal programs; Approving all product-engineering drawings: identify or establish performance and material specifications; Analyzing components for relevant failure modes and create formal documentation; Validating all designs and prepare reports summarizing results; Simplifying and standardizing current and new designs to maximize economic benefits; and Coordinating prototype orders, build and submission. Must have Bachelors Degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline such as Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering (or equivalent combination of education and work experience as established by a recognized credentials evaluation company). Must have 6 months of experience in position offered OR 12 years exp. as an engineering manager; AND Engineering management with a large OEM Tier 1 automotive parts supplier; Knowledgeable in TS 16949 and developing correlating systems; Knowledgeable of customer specific requirements for General Motors, Chrysler Motors, Ford Motors, Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Volkswagen; Management exp. that includes estimating, programs, designers, product engineers, tool engineers; Experience developing and managing Research & Development; Experience with design responsible programs; Developed, designed and implemented full APQP system; Knowledgeable in plastics, metals, composite materials, mechanical assemblies, bumper systems, lighting, complex assemblies, multi material molding, extrusion, compression molding, injection molding; Experience designing for plating and painting; Experience as a CAD designer; Knowledge and ability to conceptualize and custom design Product Lifecycle Management type tools necessary to the advance product development process. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
