Location Description
St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center, is a 376-bed facility offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. Our Centers of Excellence include Behavioral Medicine Services, Cancer Care, Cardiology Services, Emergency Center, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services, Surgical Services and Women''s Health Services and our state-of-the-art Webber Cancer Center.
Department Description
Suburban setting, seeing approximately 53,000 patients/year.Advanced Patient Care Guidelines allow RN''s increased autonomy in practice.
The Emergency Department is open 24 hours to treat a wide array of emergent conditions. Currently the department has 47 beds. The department is staffed by RNs, ER techs, Health Unit Coordinators, a Department Secretary and Mental Health Intake Facilitator as well as a Clinical Nurse Manager, Assistant Clinical Managers, Medical Director and Emergency Physicians. All RN''s ACLS certified.
Job summary
Under minimal supervision, ensures individualized patient care is provided utilizing the nursing process which includes assessing the patient, identifying patient problems or potential problems, developing and implementing a nursing plan of care, and evaluating care of assigned patients. Strives for Clinical Excellence by utilizing established pathways and protocols in an effort to achieve Clinical Excellence. It is the responsibility of the registered nurse to provide coordination of all patient care activities.
Required:
Current Michigan RN licensure
BLS Certification
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
1 year RN Hospital exp
Must have critical care experience
Preferred:
Emergency Room experience
ACLS Certification
TNCC Certification
