Interior Trim Validation Engineer
POSITION SUMMARY
Understand technical requirements and test procedures for validating to customer expectations
Create, manage, and document Learning Analysis, Development and Validation Sub plan activities & conformance to requirements
Provide Validation requirement and Validation Reference Index Plan documents for inclusion in Supplier Sourcing Statement of Requirements
Develop, submit, and manage hardware plans to enable test ready properties
Assess Validation impact for Vehicle Program Change Requests
Manage the execution of Supplier Analysis, Development and Validation Plans to ensure on-time completion with excellence
Document and confirm robust resolution to product issues
Lead the appropriate Regulatory and Self Certification documentation activities
Execute Commodity Validation Sign-off
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science in Engineering
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
High level analytical/problem solving skills
2 years' experience in Interior Trim
Manage a variety of assignments effectively, with minimal guidance
High level of oral and written communication skills
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Willingness to occasionally travel
Ability to occasionally schedule regular work outside of normal working hours due to critical activities related to meeting program milestones and participation in Global Program meetings
PREFFERED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering is preferred)
Master Degree Preferred
Design for Six Sigma Green Belt
Statistical Analysis capability (Weibull/ Reliability and Confidence)
Knowledge of product Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and Validation requirements
Product Design / Validation experience
Previous experience in design, manufacturing, and quality
