Sales Account Manager; Sales & Marketing Company:
SLPT, a leading global automotive supplier, is actively seeking a highly motivated individual to be part of the North America and Europe Sales and Marketing team to manage and grow business with current and new customers, specifically a fast-growing electric vehicle product portfolio direct to the OEM's.
The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for leading customer engagement, identifying new business opportunities, commercial negotiation, and current account management.
Working closely with a cross-functional team to manage customer and SLPT sourcing requirements, while acting as the primary customer contact, will be critical to success in the position.
This job is located at SLPT's Rochester Hills, MI office Your responsibilities will include:
Prospecting/developing/maintaining customer relationships Monitor/maintenance of customer commercial accounts Forecasting of current/future production volumes and helping SLPT team meet specific sales goals & profitability Identify product/program opportunities and conduct meetings & presentations to potential customers Promote long-term, ongoing relationships with current and future customers Research/monitor customer needs and competitive products and communicate to SLPT team members.
Negotiate customer commercial contracts Support business expansion into EV product market and Electric Pump product development Possess the ability to convincingly sell a particular position, or thought, based on company/product facts and information.
Monitors competitors commercial and product activities and communicates that information to the Director of Sales & Marketing, and SLPT team.
Prepares customer quotations, and submits quotes with supporting commercial details, to Director of Sales & Marketing for review/approval.
Stays abreast of SLPT product advances and related data.
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of automotive industry trends, technical developments, and governmental regulations which impact target markets Helps SLPT team to resolves customer disputes related to SLPT products and services Gathers customer feedback and technical information, and recommends product adaptations to meet customer needs
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in engineering and five years of experience in an engineering related function and in sales and marketing, preferably in an automotive related field and with experience in electronic modules.
