This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired. This position requires an employee to be onsite every other week. This platform, Ultifi, will help enable the frequent and seamless delivery of software-defined features, apps and services to customers over the air. It offers the potential for more cloud-based services, faster software development and new opportunities to increase customer loyalty. General Motors is looking for Automated Driving HMI Software Engineers to help us define the driver experience for our next generation ADAS vehicles. In this role, you will partner with System Engineering team, cross-team software engineers, and other stakeholders across GM UltraCruise. Your work will focus on the SW design and implementation of many of the visualization communication message to allow seamless customer experience Responsibilities Include:
SW design and SW code development in C+
Analyze and negotiate requirements with System Engineering Multiple interaction with other SW teams Integration activities between ECUs (with VCU team) to allow end 2 end visualization solution Test and integrate all level of code (Unit-test, System test, etc.) Apply solid technical understanding, critical reasoning and a structured approach to solving problems in both familiar and unfamiliar domains Additional Description Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or related technical degree Minimum of 2 years of development experience in C+
(ideally C+
11/14) Familiarity with SW development over Linux environment The ability to quickly produce clear, testable code Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills, balancing the timeliness of solutions with their sustainability. Able to prioritize competing demands based on business value. Desire to work closely with in-house engineers to prototype, develop, and support solutions Preferred
Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field 5 years of software development experience Mastery skill level in C++
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
Minimum Qualification
