Major Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the supporting the Regional Green House Gas (GHG) Strategist with the analysis required to calculate regulatory compliance. Works with Energy Integration, Portfolio Planning, Long Term Forecasting, Public Policy and Legal to accurately forecast regional GHG Compliance. Responsible for GHG Model updates and sensitivity analysis regarding portfolio, regulatory, program team and powertrain proposals. Supports Regional Public Policy representatives in GHG regulatory advocacy. Is key member of Global GHG Strategy team as well as interface to regional Portfolio Planning, Public Policy and Legal.
Duties
Possess a detailed understanding of regional compliance in order to make solutions and potential roadblocks visible and improve the cost of corporate compliance
Creates regionally specific baseline for GHG compliance status
Generate regional GHG Compliance Status documents for Management Level decision forums
Rationalize Program Average Fuel Economy (PAFE) Targets across regions
Generate program PAFE status to target documents, as needed
Work with regional Energy Integration to identify enablers to resolve gap to PAFE target
Calculate GHG impact for draft NoDs/CRs revising portfolio and technology availability, as needed
Review draft Study documents for regional impact to GHG compliance
Analyze new GHG regulations with Public Policy, Regional Regulation Groups
Work with CO2 technology manager and vehicle process owners to create and publish regional technology insertion plans
Create and maintain Technical Team 1 and Compliance & Competitiveness Sharepoint sites to enable Integration Engineer and Managers to interface to the GHG compliance plan
Qualifications
Experience
3
years of professional experience
Mastery level knowledge of Excel to make solutions and potential roadblocks visible using pivot tables and Visual Basic programming is required
Working knowledge of Sharepoint systems is required
Working knowledge of Tableau is preferred
Education
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Math/Engineering or equivalent experience
Master Degree in Computer Science/Math/Engineering preferred
DFSS Black Belt Certification preferred
