About the General Motors Global Application Operations team:
The total system ownership of the Enterprise Corporate Functions Operations team is another example of how GM is breaking down the walls of conventional technological thinking. GM's Corporate Functions Operations team is responsible for the continuous improvement of Global HR, Communications, Legal, Government Relations and Public Policy IT operations in terms of operational efficiency, cost, quality, and security. Our best in class technical resources, operations leads, and managers maintain and support 200
applications running globally. Application availability and Security/Compliance are the primary focus of this team. And we manage that effectively using ITIL process. The team also partners with IT Innovation team to accelerate the deployment of new technologies and technology upgrades for all applications; integrate the new strategic systems into the landscape.
About the role:
The PeopleSoft Admin (PS Admin) will be responsible for supporting/ maintaining the day to day operations of a suite of PeopleSoft applications with architectures that range from legacy to state-of-the-art. The roles requires that the PS Admin be responsible to ensure availability of PeopleSoft applications and its interfaces, participate in change /incident/ problem management activities as necessary. Ability to be available 24 hours x 7 days for critical situations, flexible working hours. Diagnose runtime environments for operational issues. Review system logs to identify tuning opportunities. Actively participate as a team member on project teams to ensure operational readiness of new system deployments or system enhancement
Qualifications
Minimum
Qualifications:
At least 3-5 years of PeopleSoft Admin experience
3-5 years of experience working in the Human resources business process area, with a good understanding of human capital data, data modeling and query, Oracle database expertise, and reporting.
Experience in these core technologies: PeopleSoft HCM, PeopleSoft ELM, People Tools, PeopleSoft App Designer, Quest STAT, Oracle Streams or Golden Gate, SQL Script, PeopleSoft SQR, PeopleSoft IPA, Java, OS Windows 2008, Linux SUSE, Oracle 11g.
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
Preferred
Qualifications:
PeopleSoft certifications and/or Oracle Certifications
Demonstrated experience in mid-range server, database and COTS product application management, IT security and access management, data management, the visual design of consumer mobile applications
At least one lifecycle experience of application upgrade or hardware refresh.
SOX audit management experience
